CornShed Press Release 2008

A cheque for £10,000 has just been handed over to the Great North Air Ambulance Service by Judy Kitching and her committee, crew and helpers of The CornShed Festival held annually at her home, Sexhow Park Farm, Hutton Rudby.

The Concerts have been held in memory of her husband Jim, who died tragically on the farm in 1985. The very first CornShed concert was held in 1986.

A capacity audience on both evenings enjoyed the bands this year:

Dr Brown and The Groovecats, The Pip Garbutt Band, The Mothers,
The Wildcats of Kilkenny and The Delmonts.
Chimera, TT Blue, FizzyFish, The Fallen, BSE and The Buttercups,
Ed Parish and Al Aitchison.
Chris Wastell was the DJ and The ChopGate Chappies also entertained.

The Lighting was from ZigZag Lighting and the Sound from Purple Pro Audio. Both companies are from Leeds and provided the rigs free of charge for the charity event. The Generator was donated by Innovation Power of Sunderland. Prestons of Potto very kindly trucked all equipment, including the stages.

Mrs Kitching would like to thank everyone who helped and would love to hear from anyone who would like to be involved next year
